May the Day be a Dog one

As the first day of May, let it be a dog day.  Yesterday I was at Historical Downtown Melbourne Framers Market.  I was one of the vendors.  After pitching the tent, and settling in for a nice day selling crafts, I kicked back in my chair and thought to myself, bring on the dog parade.

Inevitable the walkways will fill with local shoppers and among them their loved four-footed companion.  It is no surprise I love dogs. I jested many of times that I should have a sign that reads: Pet Hot Spot, the WiFido for wireless dog “Reception.”

I want to greet every dog that walks, rides, or wanders by my craft booth. Yesterday was a particular good day for doggie reception, because many dogs dropped by for greetings.  One in particular was a mobile drive-through; decked-out with a new doggie-stroller this Maltese was posh.  An American Bull-Terrier puppy ambled by with seemingly no goals or direction in mind.  Two bulldogs, like miniature tanks dominated the passageway for all onlookers to ogle. And more little brown, black, and spotted dogs meander pass my booth with noses down trailing an invisible scent.  So yesterday was truly a “cellular day.”
